Samba share stopped working on Windows11 😒😖

Some fantastic update ruined my life.

Fix:

Run powershell as admin, run following commandos

Set-SmbClientConfiguration -RequireSecuritySignature $false

Set-SmbClientConfiguration -EnableInsecureGuestLogons $true

Ubuntu Server DNS problem.

After a PC restart if computer got a new IP-address from DHCP it takes for ever for it to show up in DNS.

Doing a nslookup mycomputername from the ubuntu server it 

showed that it wasn't using the DHCP DNS server but used its own.

DNS was from 127.0.0.53.

I ran

sudo apt install resolvconf

After that nslookup shows the correct DNS server :)

 

ClickOnce application, how to restore for user if they click the Skip button.

 in Command prompt run: 

rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache

VirtualBox problem.

If VirtualBox fails to start Virtual OS, try following:

• Close VirtualBox
• Open cmd.exe as administrator
• run following: bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off 

It made my day at least 😀😄😄😄😄
