Ping in VB.Net

I found two ways to Ping from vb.net.
A simple:

 Dim txt As String = Now + " - " + txtIPaddress.Text + " - "
 If My.Computer.Network.Ping(txtIPaddress.Text) Then
     Debug.Print(txt + "success")
 Else
     Debug.Print(txt + "no reply")
 End If

And a more thorough where you get more data back in PingReply:

   
  Dim txt As String = Now + " - " + txtIPaddress.Text + " - "
 Dim zz As System.Net.NetworkInformation.PingReply
 Dim xx As New System.Net.NetworkInformation.Ping
 zz = xx.Send(txtIPaddress.Text)
 Debug.Print(zz.Status.ToString)
